Product Description

Prilocaine CAS number is 721-50-6, It is an amide local anesthetic, stabilizes the nerve cell membrane by blocking the flow of ions required for nerve impulse generation and conduction, thereby producing a local anesthetic effect. Prilocaine is more effective than procaine, and the intensity and speed of local anesthesia are similar to those of linocaine, but the effect is longer and less toxic. The 3% solution is comparable to the local anesthetic effect of 2% linocaine plus epinephrine. The maintenance time is about 1.5 to 2 hours, and the penetrating power to the mucous membrane is strong. Due to fast metabolism and low accumulation, it is suitable for epidural anesthesia, conduction anesthesia and infiltration anesthesia. Clinically used for local anesthesia, especially for patients who do not use adrenaline. In the intrahepatic metabolism, its metabolite nitroso-toluidine can oxidize hemoglobin and form methemoglobin. Prilocaine cas 721-50-6 can also be transported to the fetus through the placenta.
