Thioacetamide CAS number is 62-55-5, also known as ethanesulfamide, is an organic reagent that looks like a colorless or white flaky crystal. Thioacetamide can be used in the production of catalysts, stabilizers, polymerization inhibitors, electroplating additives, photographic chemicals, pesticides, dyeing auxiliaries and mineral processing agents. It can also be used as a vulcanizing agent, a crosslinking agent, a rubber auxiliary agent and a pharmaceutical raw material for a polymer. In addition, It can also be used to decompose amino acid copper complexes, for the determination of hydrazine, for the immobilization of yeast asymmetric reduction of β-keto esters.
Thioacetamide CAS number 62-55-5 is soluble in water and ethanol, and is very slightly soluble in benzene and ether.
